Palantir: It Happened

Dan Ives from Wedbush securities thinks that Palantir will see boost from federal cybersecurity spending, lets talk about it. On Friday, Wedbush analyst Dan Ives, one of the only ones I actually pay attention to, said that Palantir and several other software companies are likely to see a benefit from increased spending by the U.S. government on cybersecurity as part of the focus of the Biden administration to boost the U.S. cyber security. In his note to clients, Dan Ives focused on what he defined as “bad actor nations”, but we all understand he is talking about Russia. The idea is that the current state of affairs will include significant cyber warfare and massive federal spending would have to be provided to help the U.S. maintain its dominance in this cyberwar. Ives noted that some federal cybersecurity budgets have already rose between 35% and 40% year-over-year and this is just the start, which would allow companies like Palantir to grab significant new market share.
