Pathetic Trump Can’t Find Any Good Republicans Willing To Do Rallies With Him

Advisers to Donald Trump are currently scrambling to find Republican politicians willing to do a rally with him next week in South Carolina. Lindsey Graham is ready and willing, but apparently he isn’t enough of a draw for the Trump people. They’ve had MONTHS to get this together, and the lack of willingness from “good” Republicans is a very big warning sign for this campaign. Farron Cousins explains what’s happening. You know, Donald Trump may be the only Republican who’s announced that they are officially running for president in 2024 right now. But already it’s been a roller coaster. Trump has gone up in the polls, he is gone down in the polls at the moment, he’s back up, which means he has nowhere to go but down. But he is once again, the Republican front runner. He is handily beating Ron DeSantis and Mike Pence, and everybody else who’s thinking about running is polling at less than 2%. So Donald Trump is ahead and things are going pretty good for him until, of course, you look at how things are actually going for him, and you realize, holy crap, this looks bad. Here’s what’s happening. Next week, January 28th, of course, Donald Trump is gonna be doing a rally at the South Carolina State House. And so his advisors, his allies, and of course Lindsey Graham are going around to Republicans, prominent Republicans in the state of South Carolina, and they’re saying, Hey, we got the big guy coming in. He’s doing a rally January 28th, so, uh, how’s about you? Come on up, get up on stage with him. You know, just a show of support among Republicans for Donald Trump, who will be our nominee. And so far, near everybody they’ve approached has said, no, no, no, I’m, I’m sorry, but I’m not gonna do that. I do not want to be a part of your Trump rally. I do not want my face up there. I do not want to stand with him. Now, plenty of Republicans, including the state Republican party chairperson, they’ve been like, oh man, I’ve got, I got travel coming up. I am going on vacation, so I’m totally not gonna be able to do that, which, oh man, I just, I can’t, can’t shake it. Which is a total lie. Like you could, you could, you’ve all got money. I mean, you could fly back in, do the rally, fly back out before your family even notices you’re gone. Then you’ve of course got Republican representative, uh, Ralph Norman, very popular in South Carolina. They asked him like, Hey, will you come? Everybody likes Ralph Norman in South Carolina, right? All the Republicans do. Norman was like, no, man. I, I also coincidentally have to have to be out of town, so gosh darn it, I just, I can’t do it. Other Republicans have said, just flat out no other Republicans have said, well, I don’t want to, uh, you know, necessarily put all my eggs in the Trump basket right now we’re a little early in the process here. So maybe there’s other Republicans like, uh, Nikki Haley, and that’s where they’re running into a lot of problems, because of course, Nikki Haley, uh, especially this past weekend further teased a potential presidential run. So it’s looking more and more like Nikki Haley, the former governor of South Carolina, who was hugely popular there. She might be running. So these South Carolinian Republicans do not want to throw their weight behind Donald Trump In the event one of their own runs for president, sorry, Donald. But that hometown hero carries a lot more weight than the, uh, mogul from New York, Florida, wherever the hell you want to consider yourself from these days. But it just ain’t cutting it. And as I mentioned, Lindsey Graham has already joined the Trump team for their South Carolina efforts. He is one of the people out there trying to recruit Republicans. And again, so far not having a, a, a good day of it. In fact, there’s even one individual Hope Walker, who’s the executive director for the South Carolina Republican Party. She recently turned down a job offer from the Trump campaign because she’s decided to stay in her role for the cycle. So it’s not only that you can’t get other Republicans to show up and be there on stage with you for your rally, but you can’t even get good South Carolina Republicans to work on your South Carolina staff. That’s not a vote of confidence. Those are not the things that people do when they’re certain you’re going to become the Republican nominee. Donald Trump is in for a hell of a fight for the rest of the year, and I know he thinks that, oh, I can handle it the way I always handle things. It’s what he said recently about Ron DeSantis.
